Ah fall – the absolute best time of year!  I love the cooling temperatures, seeing leaves on the ground, and knowing that peel season has arrived. The reason it’s a better idea to have a brightening treatment or peel in the fall is because your skin is less likely to be exposed to heat and direct sunlight.  Fall is also a great time to reverse any surface sun damage (i.e. dark spots, congestion, buildup) that was caused during the summer.

I like to take a graduated approach to brightening treatments and peels because we never want to be too aggressive too fast.  Our skin is a delicate flower, and as such, it needs to build up strength to handle more advanced treatments.  Think of it like lifting weights at the gym – if you went too heavy too fast, your muscles would just be weak and you may even hurt yourself.  Rather, if you take a graduated approach and build strength, your results are lasting and evident.

Here is a breakdown of our peel levels and what each treatment can accomplish.

Level 1:  Brightening Enzyme treatment – a great introductory treatment that gently clarifies and corrects blemishes and gives the skin a youthful glow.

Level 2:  Benefit Treatment – this is like injecting vitamin C into your skin!  With high doses of ascorbic acid and vitamin A, this treatment is great for correcting pigmentation and sloughing off dead skin.

Level 3:  Purity Treatment – this is excellent for resurfacing congested pores, excess oil, and correcting blemish-prone skin.

Level 4:  Blueberry Jessner – this treatment dramatically resurfaces blemishes and lines for a smooth complexion.

Level 5:  Timeless -this age-defying peel boasts the highest concentrations of vitamin A and lactic acid so its fantastic for correcting lines/wrinkles and pigmentation.

Level 6:  Deep Sea  – this stimulating herbal peel uses mineral-rich marine actives to penetrate medium-depth and correct aged and damaged skin.

As you can see, each treatment takes a bolder step towards correcting the affects of acne, aging, and pigmentation.  Taking this graduated approach to skin care correction is a safe and effective way to get lasting results with peel treatments.
